Sustainability has an influence on the decisions that are made in the company - 100% recyclability, regionality, sensible products with multiple uses, no disposable items, and much more are principles that we work according to on a daily basis.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS
Rethinking your rubbish
ORNAMIN's product range and the development of new products are based on two main principles:
- every product is recyclable and can be returned to the material cycle without significant downcycling
- no disposable items are produced, only long-lasting products
In addition, plastic offers various advantages over many alternative materials such as glass or porcelain:
- lightweight plastic products can be produced and shipped in an energy-saving manner
- long shelf life of the items, due to break resistance
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
Saving energy to protect the environment plays a major role in the manufacture of an ORNAMIN product.
- low processing temperatures (around 250 °C, compared to glass at around 800 °C)
- a modern factory, with modern machines and light sources
- use of natural machine waste heat to heat the buildings
- tested & certified energy management to control and optimise energy consumption

From development and production to sales and dispatch, everything happens at our site in Minden.
