Description
EATING WITH ONE HAND
The plate with integrated supportive features combines three functions in one discreet piece of tableware. If only one hand is available or motor skills are limited, users can continue to eat independently and with confidence.
The sloped base of the plate collects foods such as soup, peas, yoghurt or muesli at the lowest point. An overhang in the rim of the plate supports pushing the food onto the spoon or fork, making eating easier and more controlled.
A non-slip ring in the base of the plate keeps it firmly positioned on the table when spooning against the overhang. This provides stability and safety, even when strength or coordination is reduced.
Thanks to the discreet, integrated functions, the plate can be used completely intuitively and does not need to be aligned. It works with any spoon movement and is suitable for both left- and right-handed users.
There is also a noticeable tactile reference point located under the rim, providing additional orientation for visually impaired users.
The plate is made from high-quality, break-resistant plastic. It is BPA-free, food-safe and dishwasher-safe, making it ideal for everyday use at home as well as in care, rehabilitation and therapeutic environments.

EATING WITH ONE HAND This specially designed plate combines three supportive functions in one discreet piece of tableware. It enables people with limited motor skills or one-handed use to eat independently and confidently, without the appearance of a visible aid. The gently sloped base guides foods such as soup, peas, yoghurt or muesli towards the lowest point of the plate. A subtle food-retaining rim makes it easier to transfer meals onto a spoon or fork, supporting controlled and frustration-free eating. An integrated non-slip ring on the underside keeps the plate securely positioned on the table, even when pressure is applied while spooning against the rim. This provides stability and safety for users with reduced strength, tremors or limited mobility. All functional elements are discreetly integrated, allowing the plate to be used intuitively without any specific positioning. It works with any spoon movement and is equally suitable for left- and right-handed users. A tactile reference point located beneath the rim offers additional orientation for visually impaired users. Made from break-resistant high-quality plastic, the plate is Bisphenol A-free, food-safe, dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe. This makes it ideal for everyday use at home as well as in care environments, rehabilitation settings and therapeutic facilities.
ONE-HANDED EATING – INTUITIVE AND INDEPENDENT The bowl with sloped base combines several supportive features in one discreet piece of tableware. It enables independent eating when only one hand is available or when motor skills are limited – without any complicated handling. The sloped base guides foods such as yoghurt, muesli or desserts towards the lowest point of the bowl. An integrated rim overhang helps push food gently onto the spoon. When spooning against the overhang, a non-slip ring on the underside keeps the bowl securely in place on the table. Thanks to the cleverly hidden functional design, the bowl can be used completely intuitively. It does not need to be aligned and works regardless of spoon guidance – making it suitable for both left- and right-handed users. An additional tactile marker (blind dot) located beneath the rim provides extra orientation by touch.
SUPPORT FOR ONE-HANDED EATING The dining board is a practical and well-designed eating aid for one-handed use. It has been specifically developed for people who, due to physical limitations such as paralysis, injuries or a broken arm, are only able to use one hand. Three raised edges hold the slice of bread securely in place and allow easy spreading with one hand, without the food slipping. A continuous anti-slip ring on the underside ensures that the dining board remains firmly positioned on the table. This provides stability and safety when spreading or cutting food, making it ideal for users with reduced strength, tremors or limited mobility. When used in combination with the preparation aid, the one-handed board supports not only eating but also food preparation in the kitchen. Bread rolls, fruit or vegetables can be secured on the spikes and cut using just one hand. The dining board is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users and can be used flexibly from all directions. The raised edges also make it easier to lift the dining board from the table with one hand, without having to slide it to the edge first. After use, it can be stacked neatly to save space in the cupboard. Made from scratch-resistant, break-resistant high-quality plastic, the dining board is Bisphenol A-free, food-safe, dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe. This makes it ideal for everyday use at home, in care settings, rehabilitation facilities or therapeutic environments.

THE DISCREET EVERYDAY HELPER The days of spouted cups and cut-out nose cups are over – thanks to the mug with drinking trick. Its supportive function is subtly integrated into the elegant design and is not recognisable as an aid from the outside. This helps prevent the drinking aid from being rejected from the outset or users feeling stigmatised or uncomfortable. A specially shaped inner cup – similar to an ice cream cone – ensures that drinks flow into the mouth with just a slight tilting movement. There is no need to tilt the head back or raise the arm significantly. This allows independent drinking for people with limited neck or arm mobility, as well as when sitting in a semi-upright position. The mug is intuitive to use and does not need to be consciously aligned: drinking is possible from any point around the rim. For added safety, various drinking attachments can be used, allowing the drinking volume to be individually controlled. A SECURE GRIP The large, ergonomically shaped handle supports people with limited finger mobility, reduced hand strength or an impaired grip. It offers several gripping options: the mug can be held in the handle with an open hand or the handle can be fully enclosed with all fingers. An integrated thumb rest provides additional stability. The mug’s low weight makes it easier to handle when strength in the hands and arms is reduced. A large base area also ensures excellent stability: the mug is less likely to tip over – even when pushed across the table or given a slight knock. VERSATILE SUPPORT An insulating air layer between the inner and outer cup keeps drinks at temperature for longer. This gives people who drink slowly more time to enjoy hot drinks warm and cold drinks cool. This effect can be further enhanced by using drinking attachments. The mug is available in many attractive colours. The white inner cup ensures that the colour of the drink remains true and that the drinking rim is clearly visible. The high-contrast two-colour design particularly supports people with visual impairments or dementia when drinking independently. Overall, the mug with drinking trick enables independent, stylish drinking at one’s own pace. Adequate fluid intake is of great nutritional importance, especially in older age. At the same time, independent drinking promotes mobility and muscle activity, strengthens self-esteem and relieves both professional caregivers and family carers.
the ice-cream cone-shaped inner cup allows the cup to be emptied without having to lean your head back intuitive alternative to the nosey cup keep-warm function keeps drinks at the desired temperature for longer two large ergonomic handles for secure gripping with one or both hands good stability thanks to large base surface can be combined with the ORNAMIN drinking lids made from break-resistant quality plastic (bisphenol A-free) in Germany food-safe, dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe
DISCREET DRINKING CUP FOR INDEPENDENT DRINKING No more stigmatising spouted cups: This drinking cup for independent drinking provides subtle support without looking like an assistive aid. Its elegant, everyday design feels like a regular cup and is therefore often better accepted – both at home and in professional care settings. The specially shaped inner cup, similar to an ice cream cone, allows the drink to flow towards the mouth with just a slight tilting movement. The head and arm hardly need to be raised. This makes drinking easier for people with limited neck or arm mobility as well as when drinking in a semi-upright position. The cup is intuitive to use and does not need to be aligned. Drinking is possible all around the rim, from any position. For additional safety, compatible ORNAMIN drinking aids can be combined with the cup, allowing the drinking volume to be individually controlled. INSULATING, HIGH-CONTRAST AND VERSATILE An insulating air layer between the inner and outer cup helps beverages stay at the desired temperature for longer. Hot drinks remain warm, while cold drinks stay cool. This is ideal for people who drink slowly and want to enjoy their beverages at their own pace. When used together with a drinking aid, this effect can be further enhanced. The drinking cup is available in a wide range of colours. The white inner cup does not alter the colour of the beverage and makes the drinking rim clearly visible. The high-contrast two-tone design supports orientation, especially for people with visual impairments or dementia, and helps facilitate independent drinking. Overall, the cup enables independent and dignified drinking at an individual pace. Adequate fluid intake is particularly important in later life. At the same time, independent drinking supports mobility and muscle function while reducing the workload for carers and family members.
