FUNCTIONALITY AND DESIGN
The knife with a flexible handle supports people with limited hand or arm mobility, as well as those with restricted movement in the shoulder or neck area, in maintaining and promoting independent eating. A key feature of this version is the utensil head made from high-quality plastic, which significantly reduces the risk of injury and provides added safety during everyday use.
The flexible handle can be individually adjusted to the user’s needs without heating or additional tools. Whether the handle is positioned to stabilise the wrist or to compensate for a bent wrist position, the knife can be shaped to suit a wide range of requirements. Once adjusted, the chosen position remains stable until the handle is reshaped.
The extended length of the handle offers additional flexibility when gripping the knife. It can be held closer to the utensil head or further back on the handle, allowing each user to find the most comfortable and controlled grip position.
The weight of the utensil, combined with the thicker handle, can also help to compensate for hand tremors. A secure grip and balanced handling support controlled movements and make independent eating easier and more comfortable.
